Migrationlab Co-Design Workshop

World Recipe Exchange

Limerick, Ireland // November 18, 2017

How can we use local resources in a meaningful way and how can we engage different communities to enhance intercultural dialogue in the city of Limerick?

Our founder & director Laura M. Pana co-organised and facilited a Migrationlab co-design workshop to help the World Recipe Exchange project team work together with their communities in order to tackle these topics and advance their project.

The World Recipe Exchange is currently undergoing a research and development phase and we were very happy to be involved at this stage and collaborate with our fellow European Cultural Foundation R&D Grantee. The World Recipe Exchange is a food programme based at Ormston House, run by Marta Slawinska, and it explores the diverse international traditions of the city of Limerick. Food is an important element of our identities and a significant aspect of belonging and feeling at home. This project highlights such qualities of culinary traditions and aims at creating meeting-spaces where different communities of the city explore how their cooking traditions continue and change in new contexts.

Thank you all for the warm welcome, the wonderful collaboration and Narrative 4 Ireland for hosting us. When you visit Limerick, make sure you stop at one of the World Recipe Exchange events!
